Looking for a simple, reliable way to listen anywhere, anytime? We open with a quick, guided tour of our Buzzsprout page so you can stream every episode from a single link, no app required. It’s the first place our new releases land, complete with clean navigation, readable descriptions, and a follow button that keeps you in the loop without clutter.

From there, we shine a light on Voices for Voices Publishing and the breakout debut from nine-year-old author Ryan Solomon. The Search for Drake Colton blends courage, faith, and adventure as Princess Amy ventures to the Oregon coast to uncover what happened to her parents. We talk about why this story resonates with young readers, where to find it online, and how honoring royalties for child creators builds trust and sets a healthy standard in publishing. When families see fair treatment, more kids feel safe to write, revise, and share their work.

The conversation turns toward winter, service, and the lessons learned inside overnight shelters. We walk through intake lines, hot meals, the quiet relief of a warm space, and the humility that comes from seeing neighbors weather the cold with courage. It’s a real-time reminder that mental health and community care are linked, and that sustainable service requires boundaries, rest, and teamwork. Our small team does a lot with a little, and your shares help transform individual stories into a global impact.

Help us reach bold milestones—300 countries, 3,000 cities, and a lifetime goal of serving three billion people—by doing something simple today: subscribe on your favorite platform, follow our Buzzsprout page, share this episode with a friend, and tell us where you’re listening from. Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices:

Hey everyone, it's Justin here, Voices for Voices. Thank you very much for joining us on this episode of the show. We're over 415 total episodes. If you can do us a big uh favor and hit that subscribe button, follow, like, share, give us a thumbs up. All those are helpful for us to uh reach our new big goal of uh reaching over 300 countries and over 3,000 cities across this beautiful world that we live on uh and that is planet Earth. Right now we're over a thousand cities and we're over a hundred uh countries uh that we we're we're reaching. And uh you helped us get here. And if if you can reach out to 25, 50, 100 of your closest friends, uh, or your contacts in your phone uh or followers, uh, you know, on any of our social media channels, let them know about the Voices for Voices TV show and podcast. We would greatly appreciate that. And uh we owe you a debt of gratitude for uh your demand of this show to continue on and for us to uh again uh be here in the early parts of uh January of 2026 and to uh already be at 415 episodes uh at this point. So thank you very much. Uh and then we obviously have our big goal that really aligns uh with reaching 300 countries or 3,000 cities. Uh we still want to help 3 billion plus people over the course of my lifetime and beyond. So we have big goals. I know we can do it. Um and with just a little bit uh each one of your uh help, uh, I I know it I know we can do it, and we want to say uh how grateful we are to each and every one of you. Uh what we wanted to do here at the beginning of this show is uh to I just want to I want to show everybody where uh there's some confusion on where uh you can find the audio version. Like if you're on the go and you don't have uh you know uh an iHeart app or a Spotify, I want to show you where you can go 247, 365, uh, or 366 if it's a leapier. Uh and and so we're gonna do that. So we're gonna start that by doing a screen share. Uh and for those listening, I'll I'll recite uh so you don't have to worry about anything. Uh so here we're gonna do a share, and here we are. Okay. So this is the site that is available for anybody that has access to the internet. And for those listening, uh, I'm gonna just read off the website. Uh, so this is our Voices for Voices specific podcast website. So again, if you don't have an app, you don't like using apps, that's okay. Uh, so we have a great place for you to go uh to get to exactly what you need and and the exact form that you uh would like to use if you are looking for the audio uh podcast of our show. Uh so what you're seeing here, uh obviously if you're watching, you're seeing what I'm talking about, but I'm uh I'm just going like kind of like the play-by-play for those that are are listening. Uh so you want to go to h uh t s colon forward slash, forward slash, you know, so just the beginnings like you go to any website, and then you go to voices, that's V-O-I-C-E-S, F-O-R, V-O-I-C-E-S. So all that together is voices for voices spelled out dot buz.com. So what that spells out uh after the HTTPS uh part is voices for voices dot buzzsprout dot com. That is voices for voices dot buzzsprout.com. One more time, voices for voices spelled out dot buzzsprout.com and the buzz is B-U-Z-Z and then S-P-R-O-U-T for buzzsprout.com. So voices for voices.buzzsprout.com. So that gets you to our again uh 247 365 uh site where wherever you're at, you can get you can get uh our uh our audio podcast. Uh so for those that are are just uh if you're watching, you're you're seeing me scroll through, you see the voices for voices logo as the background, uh, and then you see the cover of our show. It says now showing voices for voices, TV show and podcast. So that's kind of like the cover, if you want to think of like uh like a CD or you know, music or something like that. That that'd be the you know the cover. And then underneath you see uh merchandise shop, and then there's a URL for that. Uh I'll let you, if you're listening, you can uh go to the site uh because there's a couple URLs that uh are a little bit uh a little bit different in that uh the the way that they're put together, they're they're a little tricky. So it's easier for you to head to the site, and right underneath on the left-hand side, you're gonna see you scroll down, you're gonna see the the the uh the main cover of our show, and then merchandise shop, and then if you want to support voices for voices, you can do that. Then you're gonna see voices for voices with the R and the circle around it. So that's where we get that uh protection from the United States Patent and Trade Office, um, and then you see latest episodes right under that, and you see the most recent episode that we have dropped. So this is the first place that you're gonna see and have you build it, you're gonna be able to see it on the website, but then you're gonna be able to listen to it. Uh, this is the very first place that our shows go. So when we do our uh our processes, this is the first place it goes. Buzz Sprout is our hosting platform, and and so uh that's where we you know we uh we we we do titles, we do descriptions, uh, all those things. And so that's where you can find that. And then literally the the most recent episode, and then you just click on it, and then it plays uh and tells you. So we're in season five. Uh the most recent uh as of filming this uh this show is season five, episode 416, with a runtime of 34 minutes and 43 seconds, and it even says the date that it was dropped. And this was January 12th, 2026. And then you just scroll down, and you you know, you you'll see, I think there's maybe five or six episodes, and then there'll be uh in the middle, uh there'll be a a button says see all episodes. You click that, and then you're able to go to town and and uh and take a look at all the episodes that we have. So I thought this would be a good good place uh just to talk about here because there's you know some confusion and whether so this is if you're watching, this is the the uh kind of the wider screen, uh how how it looks, and then uh regardless if if you if you're on a laptop, uh desktop, uh, or if you're on a mobile device, and then this is the mobile device, uh, and has a little more in a compact place uh or compact look, and that gets you the same information, gets you the most recent episode, and and then you just work your way down. And we felt this was helpful. We did this on uh a and then obviously, and if you haven't followed us, this would be a great place to follow because there's a there's a follow button that you can click, and that will um that will uh have you follow us, and that's exactly what we're looking for. The to have you be in the know of when uh our moat, like another episode uh is dropped, and and so that's uh what we wanted to do here at the beginning. Uh what we're also gonna do is a we're gonna I'm gonna go back and do a stop share for a moment. Okay. So as you know, we are uh we have been uh we've been putting uh books out uh under Voices for Voices Publishing in one of the books. Uh this has been uh something that we've we've done quite a few TikTok lives, uh and we we haven't had uh the chance to get they call it a block. So when you're ordering books, it'd be you know a box, and if I don't know, maybe there's 50 in a box or 75. Uh this is selling so fast that we haven't been able to get a block of of books, but uh what I do want to do at this moment is show I was hoping that okay, maybe this isn't the best view we're gonna get. Okay. So this is the search for Drake Colton by Ryan Solomon. This is the book that is just flying off uh bookshelves. Uh he's a nine-year-old author. He's the son of David and Amanda Solomon. Uh Ryan wanted to write this. He did it on his own. He did it with no pressure, no coercion, nothing. This is all what he wanted to do. And and so uh a nine-year-old author here in the United States is the youngest author that we have. Uh so there's some memorabilia uh feel to this this as well. Again, this is the search for Drake Colton. I'm trying to get it here with this camera and search for Drake Colton by Ryan Solomon. And again, nine-year-old author, the youngest of the United States, and we believe across the world, we maybe if uh if there is somebody somewhere else across the world, let us know. Uh, this is just the information we have at this moment in time. Uh but regardless, it's awesome that a nine-year-old he wanted to do this on his own, and uh he is gonna be receiving the you know the royalties uh under our agreements that we uh we put together. Uh so uh that that's uh that that that's big to me, that's big to his mom and dad. Um because sometimes there are people who will take advantage of people and not if they sell books, they won't give them the royalties that come from that. And so the important part is that Ryan will be receiving the royalties um for for his book. So the search for Drake Colton. So I'm not just gonna do this. Uh so if you're if you're listening, I'm holding up the the um the book, and you can type it in your browser, type it in the search, so s-e-a-r c and then for F-O-R Drake D-R-A-K-E Colton C O L T O N and Ryan Solomon R-Y A-N-S-O-L-O-M-O-N, and you can buy this on Amazon, you can buy it on Ingram Spark, you can buy it on Walmart.com, I believe also Barnes and Noble and Book Semillion. So uh just wanted to let you know that. And so for those who are viewing or watching uh this this particular episode, I am gonna do a screen share to show exactly where and how you can find it. So I'm gonna do share screen, we're going to go here, and we're gonna share, and we are going to go to uh Amazon. And so here on the left hand side, uh, if you're watching, if you're if you're listening again to search for Drake Colton, uh the search for Drake Colton, and the author is Ryan Solomon, and it's brought to you by Voices for Voices Publishing. For those who are listening, we'll just read the description to make it nice and clean uh for for everybody, uh whether you're watching or listening. So here we go. This is all quote from the description on uh on Amazon. From nine-year-old debut author Ryan Solomon comes an exciting demon hunting adventure for kids. Ages nine and up, uh, or could be, I believe we also have uh yeah, age ages nine and up. Uh is a story of courage, faith, and leaning and learning on God for wisdom. When Princess Amy's parents, the king and queen, mysteriously vanish, her world is thrown into chaos. Determined to rescue them, she sets out on a dangerous quest to the Oregon coast. There, Amy faces a powerful vampire queen and the sinister she wolf princess of the underworld. But hope still shines. A boy named Drake Colton may hold the key to discovering who took her parents. Will Amy find him in time? Or will the shadows of the underworld stop her before her journey begins? So that is what you will find in the description and on the back cover of the search for Drake Colton by Ryan Solomon, that is R-Y-A-N. And then Solomon S-O-L-O-M-O-N. And the title of the book is The Search for Drake Colton. S-E-A-R-C-H for search. For is spelled out F-O-R. Drake is D-R-A-K-E. Colton is C-O-L-T-O-N. And again, you can buy this on uh Walmart.com, Barnesandoble.com, Booksfamillion.com, Amazon.com, and again, nine-year-old author, the youngest uh author in the United States, and uh we believe he's the youngest author in the world at this given uh moment in time. So you can make your purchases uh any any point you you would like. So yeah, we wanted to you know do these uh couple of things here at the outset just to um I'm a visual person, and and so I I I got to thinking that it would be easy easier if I showed this on the screen and and at least uh uh spoke the the words for those who are on the our audio podcast, uh, in case that is something that is interesting. It's very inspiring, even to me, to have uh have Ryan put out this book that's really incredible at nine years old that this is what he wants to do or what he wanted to do. Uh it's it's incredible and it's awesome and it's inspiring, and I believe it will be inspiring to somebody who's watching and listening. Uh and again, Ryan was not pressured or coerced, even with having a family that is a you know is a is a creative family and creates content. Uh so we hope you'll uh pick up a copy or two and uh hope you'll en enjoy it as much as we we did uh and it's brought to you by voices for voices publishing and that is an a new um area uh voices for voices uh that we have now in 2026 and for a portion of 2025 uh that's that's where uh yeah so voices for voices publishing uh we are just so grateful to have fans followers uh to to have interest in our show as you hear me say almost all the time we are a very small organization uh so everything you see that we do is done by like a handful of people uh like ryan's mom amanda she creates she she writes she's an author she writes screenplays she does a lot of the editing which is amazing because it's not probably one of the funnest things to to do right everybody wants you know the limelight and and and that and uh she has uh enchantments embrace and so that is a book that she has um an electronic version on amazon.com you can purchase that so that's enchantments embrace uh and that is by author Amanda Solomon same last name and then Amanda is am d a Amanda Solomon so we hope everybody's doing doing well uh the weather here is I take a turn for for being a little bit we're we're back to winter I guess uh weather weather does change uh literally uh day to day and and a lot of times it's you know hour to hour uh so we're we're back in uh we just are our we uh again we pray for everybody every day we pray for us our families and and you and and the rest of the world even if you're not a believer that's okay we're we're just putting good vibes out for everybody uh but especially in in in these times and you know with with having a no judgment zone uh you know there's some people that uh they they don't have a a roof over their head they don't they have a hard time finding food and uh and and clothing to keep them warm uh when when temperatures dip below and uh a lot of the overnight shelters are open and uh I have donated my time to overnight shelters of over the years and I will I'll just say it's it's some of the most rewarding time that I've spent doing service and maybe that had a little bit to do with you know getting voices for voices started because I remember uh through through our uh a group that I'm in you know they send an email out and and basically said hey here you know the shelter the overnight shelter is gonna be open uh you know these particular dates and I think it I'm not I guess I'm not sure so I don't want to speak on like the exact temperature but once it dips below a certain temperature at night then that's when the overnight shelter opens up and what the overnight shelter is it's literally just think of think of uh I don't know I guess like a piece of real estate that's like an office but it's just wide open there's like no furniture really um and so really there are shower covers uh or shower liners that are dividing you know each each uh client which are the people who need the are there for the overnight shelter uh to stay stay warm as they can and so there's uh yeah those are set up I think I forget what the capacity is maybe fifty uh and so these individuals they come and they're served you know a meal and it's all on donations and uh there's been times where I've helped in the kitchen uh you know mixing mix mixing the ingredients up there's been times where I've what they call a floater or a server where you know we have like a cart with you know the food on on plates and and we go to make sure ever everybody there uh you know gets food and uh you know and so there's you know fruits and vegetables and and so it's a it's a pretty pretty good meal um and and they're literally if you think of I don't know like a I don't know think like a yoga mat but something similar to that it just maybe a little bit thicker uh a little bit of padding but that's that's what they're that's what they rest on overnight. Um and I mean there's times where there's been frostbite and the reason why I say it's it's rewarding to to me um is because it really brings you know being grateful for things that are so easily um easy to just overlook and I've done that so much that I'm doing less and less of that now so happens yeah I'm not perfect um and so it really humbles a person when you see that you know here here here's people living in and around the same area and they're able to you know spend the spend the night there's there's um their security so they all get checked and you know for weapons and all that and there have been weapons that have been found and the they go into uh you know the officer you know they have you know the key and they lock it up and it's it's a no judgment zone it it's like all right um and so it really just is is a humbling experience and the reason I bring that up now is because the weather is turning back into that time where uh the overnight shelter is gonna start being open for a few days in a row um and so there's a member of the team that they go out and they uh you know let you know if there's a I think there's a tent city you know let people know hey if you want to come you know they can't obviously bring drugs and you know that um but if they want to come they get a free bus ticket a card with the address of what stop to get off on and um I remember the lat one of the last times I did it just because with voices for voices and I have to I have to be very I have to watch my mental health uh with what what what we do um but I remember the one time when I I got there and usually they asked for you know the volunteers to to get on site maybe an hour before the doors open so then there's a you know a receptionist who you know writes the name then uh and then the then the security check you know with with the security guards and the police and uh uh and then it's you know some some jobs are you know walking and individuals to okay like is there a certain area you want to be in and they say oh I want to be over here and so you take them there and and then they start getting settled and getting warmed up but I remember that this time that I'm talking about referring to I mean there was a line of maybe 10 or 15 and I walked in well I knocked on the door and then I you know I was let in and I was hearing people say you know how cold it was and how freezing it was and it just really puts a different perspective on on life um you know it's no judging I don't know why and how the people got into their situations and it's not my place to judge it's not my place to say oh well you deserve this or anything anything like that it's it's like what we're trying to do here voices for voices through our shows uh and and then through our our books and other projects that may or may not be coming uh is to help people uh because even when we have our when I have a down day uh my down days are still better than uh I'd say most of them are better than what these individuals uh have in a good day and and so it really grounds me when when I see the messages that the the overnight shelter is is opening up and I recommend anybody that has something similar in their city if they if that's something they want to do again it takes you know the like a right type of person um it's not it's not glamorous you're just helping your fellow human beings you know warm up and and have a few hours overnight and and then like I think it's like eight or eight thirty in the morning then then they close down and then it opens back up you know into evening time if it's like five or six or so uh so when it's cold out there and they have the opportunity the opportunity to be inside um for those overnight hours but during the day you know as I if I'm at my residence whoever whoever that may be that you know I hear the wind howling and and everything it I it it just kind of stops me in my tracks a little bit and I see again that those messages that they're opening up and how fortunate I am to to be to have a roof over my head to turn the heat up if I want or turn it down if I if I want uh so hopefully this was a a a little bit of a grounding episode uh we we talked about uh the search for Drake Colton so you can find that again everywhere uh grab a copy or two again that this one's definitely gonna be worth a ton of money because a nine year old author doing it on his own he wants to do it parents didn't force him didn't I mean I've been around for the pretty much the entire process and I I can attest to that um and then we showed and shared for our individuals who are listening uh how they can get to uh our main website if you don't want to use an app uh to listen to our our shows whether you're at home or you're on the go and that is by going to voices for voices dot buzzsprout dot com that's voices for voices dot buzzsprout dot com and the four is spelled out four not the number four here so that is voices for voices dot buzzsprout dot com and then I'll just spell it out one last time that is v o I C E S F O R V O I C E S dot B U Z Z S P R O U T dot com and that will get you all of our episodes you can follow us uh yeah if you can uh hit that subscribe button if you're on YouTube or on Rumble watching or on another platform hit that subscribe button follow like share give us a thumbs up uh help us reach our big goals or helping uh at least three billion people over the course of my lifetime and beyond and reaching over 300 countries which were over a hundred so it's very possible and I know we can do it with your help and then also we would like to uh one of our other big goals is to reach 3000 cities people in 3000 cities across the world uh we're at a thousand and some change right now and we just want to say thank you so much for watching and listening to the voices for voices for voices podcast and tv show and until next time I am your host Justin Allen Hayes and thank
